How to prevent acne
Prevention, you know, is better than cure. Acne causes depression and erodes someone’s self confidence and self-esteem. Keep yourself healthy and presentable by removing factors that contribute to acne. Discover in this article how you can prevent acne.
How to prevent acne #1: Check your diet – You have to check what you eat. Avoid oils, fatty foods, and fabric softeners as often as possible. If you eat a high-fiber, low-fat diet you are less likely to have problems with acne.
How to prevent acne #2: Frequent water watching – Wash with very mild soaps, especially antibacterial formulas, twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening.
How to prevent acne #3: Kill the acne causing organism – The bacteria called Propionibacterium Acnes(P. Acne) is the bacteria that causes skin acne. It attracts white blood cells to fight it off which causes inflammation and redness that accompanies many pimples. Preventing acne with a treatment that is designed to kill off this bacteria will be a big help in clearing your acne.
Antibiotics like tetracycline, erythromycin, doxycycline, and minocycline are examples of oral acne medications that can be used to kill the bacteria. Though each of these medications comes with its side effects, which can be unpleasant. Also antimicrobial ointments or topical acne medicines can help prevent acne in much the same way that antibiotics do, by killing the bacteria that cause acne, but they are antibiotic-free and are applied to the surface of the skin on a regular basis.
How to prevent acne #4: Drink lots of water – I know you probably know this, but how many of us do this? Prevent acne by drinking 8-10 glasses of water everyday. We lose water from our body through sweat so it makes sense we replenish the lost water by drinking lots of it. Water removes only the bad bacteria that stores in our body and also helps you to get rid of your waste regularly.
